THE WORK WE DO As Berkeley’s first and only biotechnology, medical and healthcare-focused consulting organization, Phoenix Consulting Group has had the privilege of providing its services across a broad spectrum of industries. We work on semester-long engagements to provide valuable research insights and actionable recommendations to our clients. We are devoted to delivering highimpact solutions and pride ourselves on our ability to catalyze meaningful change within the organizations we work with. Some of our past work includes:
Working with a stealth startup launching a disruptive medical device, we provided broad competitive landscaping, including detailed competitor analysis and benchmarking studies. We also built a pricing model, based on market structure and segmentation.
Consulting for an international virtual reality company, we helped build a new business model for US market entry, including healthcare, focusing on brand positioning, implementation timelines, and advertising strategy. Within our eleven week commitment, we were able to reach out and secure a partnership for the firm. We worked with one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States to overhaul and redesign a key pipeline in their operations. By interviewing industry experts and analyzing data provided by the client, we proposed a new operations model to increase employee efficiency, decrease costs, and provide more value to stakeholders.
We collaborated with an emerging biotech startup aiming to enter the nutritional supplement market. By surveying current major firms and their customers, we developed customer segmentation profiles and price elasticity models, and eventually presented this to the firm along with as part of a holistic product launch strategy.
